The day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week 2018 is mainly dedicated to the presentation of environmentally-conscious clothing. Indian fashion wears which had given a contemporary touch had given it a very awesome look. Mainly the handlooms were being heralded and local artisan being celebrated.
The dresses presented were not normal wears like we see every day, but each and every cloth had its own uniqueness that we have never seen before. Those include mainly Belted Sarees with Shirts, Pocketed Kurta, Traditional layering with Jeans, Brogues with Sarees, Crop Tops as Blouses etc.
At the Padmaja’s show, the popular Indian traditional wear got a modern touch with a shirt instead of a blouse, was a great twist.
At Hemang Agrawal’s show, the main centerpiece was the traditional kurta with pocket.
Traditional Layering with Jeans
Denim layered under floaty kurtas with palazzos and churidar pants were a surprise for everyone.
Brogues with Sarees
The Maku show presented the rare pairing of Sarees with matching Brogues.
Crop Tops as Blouses
At Padmaja’s show, traditional blouses are replaced with high cropped blouses with sarees was a glorious change.
