Kochi (28-12-17): All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF), the film festival arm of 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood, has announced that the national award winner Balachandra Menon, a multifaceted personality in Indian Film Industry, as the Festival Director for the fourth edition of ALIIFF.
ALIIFF, the film festival 2018 will be held as a part of Indywood Film Carnival at Hyderabad in December 2018. Balachandra Menon is a director of 39 movies and he has acted in over 100 movies.
Menon-Jack of all trades
In movies, Balachandra Menon holds a unique world record. His talent is not only acting but he has done direction, script and story and dialogues in 29 films. Woody Alan, the American director is in the second position. He has directed 26 films. The nation has honored him in 2007 with prestigious Padma Shri for his valuable contributions to Indian cinema.
Becoming one of the pride of our nation, Balachandra Menon has played various important roles in Indian cinema. He succeeded in defining the cinematic culture of India. Such a legend being in film industry will definitely help to select the top class movies as in international, national and regional – said Indywood Founder Director Sohan Roy.
The third edition of ALIIFF chaired by noted filmmaker Shyam Benegal showcased 130 movies from 50 countries.
