Team Talismanian is so glad to interact with one of those spectacular designers who walks the epitome of fashion industry of India without undergoing any professional training. Can you tell us how you made this possible?
You have got an MBA degree in Human Resource Management from Lucknow University. When did you realize that you have a knack for fashion in you and who was your inspiration for that?
When I was to get married in 2013 I went to a lot of designers in Delhi and Mumbai looking for those perfect wedding outfits but all efforts went in vain. That’s when My Husband CAPT MANISH YADAV inspired me to design the clothes for myself and for the other family members because he saw the designing in fragments that I had done earlier and he just loved it.
Can you share about your family?
I have a small family of my husband CAPT MANISH YADAV who is a commercial pilot and a two and a half-year-old daughter named ZURI.
Please tell us in brief about ‘Polka Dots Couture’?
POLKA DOTS COUTURE is a label that I started right in November 2013 just after my marriage. Now I have a running store with the same label name in Lucknow. Everyone needs the motivation to achieve their goals.
Who motivated you to walk through your fashion path?
MY HUSBAND. He was the one who was right behind me since the inception of my label supporting me in all even and odds.
How did you become a part of the upcoming Kerala Fashion Festival 2018?
The credit for this goes to MS.JINCY MATTHEW, Director, Marketing, KFF. Because of her efforts and support, I am going to be a part of Kerela Fashion Festival.
What type of fashion treat are you planning to give us in KFF 2018?
I will be showcasing my very fresh collection ‘QUILL’. A collection full of fusion dresses on Aari, Zardozi & Chikankari embroideries.
Every designer has their unique interests in particular types of materials and embroidery works that they use in common for all their fashion projects. What about you? Do have you any such particular interests?
I am a fan of delicate embroideries. I also love silhouettes and patterns which are modern in design and traditional in embroidery patterns.
Tell us about your famous collection ‘Zuri’? What does that particular word mean to you?
ZURI a word that means THE WORLD to me.
