Samsung has been a pioneer in the smartphone industry for almost a decade now and the South Korean giant has been releasing one model every year in its Galaxy Series. After the success of its S8 last year, it seems that the company is ready for its next release on Feb 25th , 2018 and this was confirmed by the company by a release on its official Twitter handle which is shown below:
The Samsung Galaxy S9 which is speculated to be its flagship release for this year will almost certainly launch alongside a slightly larger model, the S9+, and the phones are expected to look very similar to their predecessors, the S8 and S8+, which came out last year.
The Galaxy S9 is said to have the looks of the current flagship S8 and will feature a 5.8-inch QuadHD+ AMOLED display, a 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, IP68 water- and dust-resistance and 4GB of RAM. It also has been reported that the South Korean electronics giant has worked primarily on the camera in this model. Apart from these specifications, the company is expected to have kept the 3.5mm headphone jack, which means that the users will be able to use them with both wired and wireless headphones, without having to purchase an adapter.
There is also one main design change that is coming to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and that is the redesign of the fingerprint scanner which was awkwardly positioned on Galaxy S8. Samsung is reportedly shifting it to a more central position on the smartphone’s rear side, which should make it easier to access. This is more good news for Samsung lovers as most of the minor drawbacks that were on the Galaxy S8 are rectified now.

However, this is just an approximation by our experts and there has been no official confirmation on it till now.
