Trekking through the Himalayas – Story VIII

This is a continuation from the article Trekking through the Himalayas - Story VII Pepped up with perkiness, we rested on the mountain peak. But the guide hurried up to get on with our journey ahead despite of waiting for the others to reach. We already were briefed that in case if we were  unable to cross 'Chander Ghani’ pass  by evening for any reason, we were asked to return back to the camp and resume our journey the next day. Keeping those words in mind, we undoubtedly took our belongings and followed him. We were then, at an altitude of 12000ft above the sea level where temperature was close to 0 degrees with pinching cold. It was, for us, simply trivial as we got in habitude with the environment. Sweaters and boots too played their roles pretty well. An array of mountains

This is a continuation of the article Trekking through the Himalayas - Story VI   We took repose in an uninhabited open place where the ascend terminates and slope begins. It was a great relief to have a resting time after crossing a terror striking path. All of a sudden the camp leader hastened to resume the journey as there was a probability for torrential rain. We hurried down the slope disregard of rain, eventhough it was tough to move on. Rain water was flowing at our ankle levels and we walked forward poking with staffs to find the obstacles before each footstep. Many of our fellow men tumbled down through the slope. Trekking through the Himalayas - Story IV We woke up to the 6th day of our Himalayan expedition. Lazily we got up, finished our morning chores, packed up and moved for tea. The steamy tea was buoyant and we commenced the journey, singing patriotic songs. The camp leader was a nice person and in a day's acquaintance a good rapprochement developed between us. Unlike our expectation, the journey started from a precipice afar the camp-shed. After a few minutes of climbing , my body started to resist. I couldn't exactly make out the reason, but palpitation and stifling hindered my footsteps. The high altitude hit others too, I could read out from their dispirited faces. We at last got to the grass crowned crest and fell flat. Our breath slowed down after a few minutes and started to s...
HYDERABAD – “The Pearl City”

HYDERABAD – “The Pearl City”

- Deepika. V It was a college tour to Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Initially, I had a perception that Hyderabad was just one normal city like any other. But to my surprise, this trip had so much of fun and descriptive elements. At first, we all were put at a hotel (Anmol Continental) which was near Hussain Sagar Lake. Let me list the places which were covered by us during this college trip. Lumbini Park & Hussain Sagar Lake This park was just opposite from the hotel where we stayed. The park had a very pleasant view of the Hussain Sagar Lake and they also offer boating facility to reach the middle of the lake where it had a Buddha Statue. Once we reach there, we can feel the nature and to capture the moments amid the lake, there will be number of local photographer...
